Q: How long does International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by JPJ valid and where to renew if expired?
A: The IDP validity is 1 year and only can be renew in JPJ branch or AAM office (Automobile Association of Malaysia).

Q: I just passed my driving test and currently holding Probationary Driving License (PDL), can I apply for IDP?
A: If you are still holding a Probationary Driving License (PDL), you are not allowed to get an IDP.

A: No, you must have your original driving license all the time you drive.

Q: My original driving license will expire in 3 months, can I still use International Driving Permit (IDP)?
A: Your original driving license supersedes IDP. You may use IDP for 3 months until your original driving license expires.
