undergo routine inspection at Puspakom every 6 months.

A: The inspection can be done for any types of commercial and personal
vehicles.
Q: Can I send a representative for inspections?
A: You can send a representative. Make sure it’s one vehicle with only one
driver at Puspakom’s premises.
Q: What is JPJ B5 Report?
A: The Road Transport Act 1987 requires all private vehicles to undergo
Transfer of Ownership Inspection at Puspakom prior to ownership transfer.
This inspection helps to protect the new vehicle owner from buying or owning
an unlawful vehicle such as cut and joint vehicle. Road and Transport
Department of Malaysia (JPJ) requires the B5 report for ownership transfer.
Q: What documents are required when doing vehicle inspection?
A:
• Original vehicle registration card/ Vehicle ownership certificate.
• Vehicle for inspection.
• The owner can get a representative to bring in the vehicle for inspection.
The representative is then required to hand in a completed and signed ‘third
party authorisation’ form by the owner during the inspection visit.
Q: How do you arrange for an inspection appointment?
A: You could either walk in without an appointment or book an inspection
reservation online at the Puspakom website.
Q: How much is the inspection cost?
A: Depending on the types of vehicle and inspection package. (e.g. The fee
is RM30 for the Ownership Transfer Inspection).
Q: How long is the inspection take and what will I get?
A: The inspection process will take about an hour and once completed,
Puspakom will issue a computer-generated vehicle inspection report. The
report will be valid for 60 days. Upon exceeding the validity period, the
vehicle needs to be re-inspected for a new report.
